Los Angeles — Sakya Samten Ling Sakya Buddhist Center was established by Lama Jampa Thaye in 2010 and is located in Santa Monica, CA. The buddhist center was given the name Sakya Samten Ling, which means ‘The place of meditation of the Sakyas’. Please note that due to various government prohibitions at this time some activities will be temporarily suspended or held online. Please check the local centre website for current class programme. Listings for Dechen online groups and classes can be found here. The Center is located off Main Street in Santa Monica and runs a wide range of meditation classes and Buddhist thought and philosophy classes on Saturdays. For people that have received the practice, we also offer a full program of Vajrayana group meditations on Green Tara and Chenrezik. The Center is honored that in 2018 both His Holiness Sakya Trichen, the 41st Sakya Trizin and His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trizin visited the Center to give blessings and teachings.
