Bath Sakya Buddhist Meditation Group Meditation and Buddhist Teachings Tuesdays 8pm You can join our friendly group to practise meditation and hear about the unique perspective on life that Buddhism has to offer, in a relaxed and welcoming setting. As from 8pm on Tuesday 15th June we’ll be meeting together once again at the Museum of Bath at Work, Julian Road, Bath BA1 2RH We’ll meet every Tuesday at 8pm up to and including 27th July and then break until 7th September when we start the Autumn term. Sessions comprise a period of settling or calm-abiding meditation for the first part with advice on the method, followed by a short talk or a video by Lama Jampa Thaye on the basic Buddhist teachings. From here one can begin to understand how we can practice the Buddhist path. Sessions last around an hour ending with some reflective meditation and an opportunity for questions and discussion. The sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as those with some experience. We will be serving teas/refreshments at the end of the session. Suggested donation £5.
