Hebden Bridge We have been established in Hebden Bridge for over twenty years providing a regular program of meditation and Buddhist study groups. Tuesday meditation and Buddhist study group: 8.00pm – 9.00pmPlease join us 7.30pm onwards to settle in, meet everyone and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.We begin with twenty minutes of meditation, followed by a study session based on a Buddhist topic where there is plenty of opportunity for discussion and any questions that you may have. Our current study session is based on a booklet by Lama Jampa Thaye called, ‘Discovering the Causes of Happiness’, which covers some fundamental thoughts in Buddhism. Mind Training (Lojong) Day Sunday 8 February 2026 10:30 16:00 An introduction to the transformative Buddhist Lojong (mind training) teachings, led by Jonathan Macaskill. Mind training is a system of meditation for developing the thought of enlightenment. At its heart is the practice of exchanging oneself for others. Session 1: 10:30am – 12noon: Introduction to lojong and guided meditation Session 2: 12:30pm – 1:30pm: Introduction to meditation on ultimate bodhicitta Session 3: 2:30pm – 4.00pm: Relative bodhicitta meditation with time for questions and clarification Drop in for one or more sessions or stay all day. The event is open to all and there is no fee but donations are welcome. Tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring food for a shared lunch. The event is jointly organised by Hebden Bridge and Colne Kagyu Dechen Buddhist Groups Where to find us The StudioThe Birchcliffe CentreBirchcliffe RoadHebden BridgeHX7 8DG Public Transport The Birchcliffe Centre is a 10-minute walk from Hebden Bridge Train Station, but please be advised that this involves a steep hill. The 595 bus leaves from Hebden Bridge Train Station every 30 minutes and stops outside the Birchcliffe Centre. The entrance to The Studio is situated at the front of the building, directly accessible for pedestrians from Birchcliffe Road, through the entrance gates, and up the stairs to the main front entrance. The entrance to The Studio is adjacent to and on the left-hand side of the main front entrance. ParkingThere is an on-site car park. Please park in the upper car park. If driving up the hill from town, drive past the Birchcliffe Centre on your left and the neighbouring pair of houses, and you will see a left turn which takes you past the houses into the car park. From the car park, walk towards the building down the ramped walkways, then down the steps alongside the building, to the grand front entrance.
