Lama Jampa teaches in London 10th March 2014 On 8 March Lama Jampa gave a day of teachings in West London, hosted by Sakya Dechen Ling. In the morning Lama Jampa taught the first part of Atisha’s famed text, Jewel Rosary of a Bodhisattva. Lama Jampa gave a detailed explanation of the pithy instructions contained in Atisha’s text. A study group focussing on the text will commence at Sakya Dechen Ling from 15 March and Lama Jampa will teach the second part of the text in London later this year. In the afternoon, Lama Jampa bestowed the initiation of Red Tara and also transmitted the reading tradition for the accompanying sadhana. At the end of the day of teachings, Lama Jampa mentioned the imminent visit of HE Ratna Vajra Rinpoche, elder son of His Holiness Sakya Trizin, to Sakya Dechen Ling in London and Sakya Thinley Rinchen Ling in Bristol in May, and also to Sakya Dechen Ling in Stuttgart. Lama Jampa mentioned that Ratna Vajra Rinpoche had first visited England with His Holiness 36 years ago and since then Ratna Vajra Rincpoche had bestowed teachings upon the sangha, including the initiation of Vajrakilayah.
