Lama Jampa at the Shang Shung Institute 11th February 2014 On Thursday February 6th Lama Jampa gave a lecture for the Shang Shung Institute in London. The lecture was entitled “Buddhism for Modern Times: Practising Old Time Religion in the New Dark Ages” and received a very warm reception from members of the Institute and outside guests. The Shang Shung Institute is part of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche’s world-wide Dzokchen Community. It was set up some years ago by a team of senior British disciples of Norbu Rinpoche under the direction of Judith Allan, Mike Farmer and other leading disciples. It serves as a meeting place where scholarship and practice can interact. Last October Lama Jampa gave a paper at the Institute’s Conference on Padmasambhava. The papers given then will be published in the near future by the Institute.
