Lama Jampa Thaye visits His Holiness Sakya Trizin in India

Lama Jampa Thaye, accompanied by Dechen Dolma and assisted by Carl Rogers and Kunga Gyaltsen arrived in India on February 4th to visit His Holiness Sakya Trizin in Rajpur. They stayed at His Holiness’ residence in Rajpur, Dehra Dun for seven days. The main purpose of Lama Jampa’s visit was to continue to receive the initiations and teachings from the Guhya Samaja cycle that he had previously requested from His Holiness.

With Lama Jampa acting as the main sponsor for the four days of teachings, which were given by His Holiness in the Lhakang of Sakya Centre, over 350 monks and nuns from Sakya Centre and the nearby Sakya Nunnery took the opportunity to attend.

During this time Lama Jampa and His Holiness also discussed plans for the new Sakya Nuns’ Shedra which will be opening in September this year.

An album of pictures from the visit will be published shortly.
